What a year that was!

What a year 2025 was! The market thrived each month, allowing us to give over £23,000 to charity. Highlights included Redlap at The Real Cheese Project, supporting new cheesemakers through Grants, celebrating Nellie Fisher at the World Cheese Awards, and backing the Affineur of the Year competition, fostering innovation and collaboration in the artisan cheese community.

In recent years the event has sparked new collaborative cheeses. Last year we reached the blue cheese finals with our @cropwellbishop Shropshire Blue, enhanced with London Pride from the pub next door. We also sponsored a trophy at the Artisan Cheese Awards, which supports only small independent producers, and remain proud champions of new cheeses at Cheesewick as we look ahead to 2026.

We are thrilled to support an exciting new collaboration between the Academy of Cheese and the Michael Caines Academy and we are immensely proud that our Lucy Cufflin was a judge at the 2024 World Cheese Awards in Portugal - together, with our deep passion and extensive knowledge and expertise of all things cheese, we are CHAMPIONS FOR CHEESE!

Cheese adventures down under

G’day from Sydney Australia – I have been down under for a few weeks visiting my son. Australia has never been a country well known for its cheese apart from its mass-produced ‘Australian medium flavour cheddar’ which hit our supermarket shelves in the 70s.

Our new grant helps foster the next generation of cheese experts

We are very excited to announce that we have provided the funding to introduce a brand-new educational venture instigated by The Academy of Cheese at the Michael Caines Academy based at Exeter College.
